Aftercare

There are a few things you should be aware of for the after care of your cabinetry and stone that will help with the lifetime of your cabinetry and warranty of all parts. Please take the time to read the below so you can get the most out of your new build.

HINGES AND DRAWER RUNNERS:

The hinges and drawer runners have a special coating on them that assists with the protection of the parts, if this is taken off it will cause the parts to perhaps rust/deteriorate and void the warranty so please follow the below instructions if they need cleaning:

The best way to clean your fittings is as follows:

-              Wipe using a soft, lint-free cloth, buff or sponge

-              Ensure that the material you use to wipe the furniture with is just damp, not wet

-              Always wipe the furniture again afterwards with a dry cloth

-              If possible, use cleaning products intended specifically for materials such as leather, stainless steel etc. ;otherwise, use only clean water

-              Wipe off dirt as soon as it appears

Avoid the following when cleaning fittings:

-              Using steam cleaners

-              Using cleaning products, such as abrasive cleaning powder, steel wool and scourers, as well as cleaning agents, such as acetone, chlorine, cellulose thinner and solutions whose names start with tri or tetra

-              Storing open cleaning products, baking powder, dishwasher products or table salt, for example. Fumes can cause corrosion on all metal surfaces.

SOFT CLOSE:

Getting used to soft close mechanisms when you have not had them before does take a bit of time. But as the name suggests they do soft close so please avoid closing them with too much force. Close and walk away and let the mechanism finish the last of the closing of the item softly which is the design. The soft close mechanism involves a spring to allow the ‘soft close’, this is not designed to be continually forced closed so try to avoid this.

STONE:

In some cases the brand of stone you have chosen requires that you register your stone for warranty, if you are not sure please check on their website or contact us. It is encouraged that you do this for obvious reasons of warranty, but also because some of the companies will also provide aftercare instructions and sometimes sample cleaning products for you to try.
Websites for the stone are:
Smartstone:  https://www.smartstone.com.au/
Quantum Quartz: https://www.wk.com.au/
Essastone: https://www.laminex.com.au/brands/essastone

SETTLING OF CABINETRY:

Sometimes shortly after installation, with continual use the cabinetry can settle, showing some of the draws and doors as out of adjustment. This can happen and is normal, please just contact us and we will come and re-adjust them to what they should be. Please note this will only happen once if at all and is the mechanism settling into use, once fixed it will not happen again.

We wish you many happy moments with your new cabinetry.
